A Dream built on excellence and family values...

Michael and Janelle Harden are the owners of Regalus Drum Horses and Yesterway Farms. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Regalus is located in Toccoa, Georgia where Michael was born and raised. Janelle is a "northwest girl" who found her way south to attend college. Married in 2007, the Harden's purchased their current farm in 2009 and began 'Regalus Drum Horses' in 2013. In 2014 they welcomed their first child, Silas and in 2020 their daughter Aubrielle. They feel blessed to see their children grow up on the farm surrounded by "gentle giants."

At Regalus Drum Horses the focus has always been quality over quantity. Shires make up the foundation of our Drum breeding program and our Shires come from imported English lines. Though at Regalus our focus is on quality first, we are also breeding to bring the roan and leopard complex (appy pattern) color genetics to the Drum horse breed. We have retained foals from our best mares and some of the finest Gypsy and Drum stallions to move these colors into future generations. Janelle has spent many hours researching and choosing the best stallions with these color genetics for Drum breeding. In doing so, there has been no sacrifice of correct conformation, height, or hair in breeding for these unique colors. Our Lp Drums offer Gypsy lines that cannot be found in other Lp Drums and the quality speaks for itself. Though we have produced more Lp Drums to date, our focus is on continuing to add more roan Drums through our breeding program and we are looking forward to some fantastic F2 roan foals from our filly Blue in a few more years.

"We are grateful to our lord and savior Jesus Christ for this incredible life he has blessed us with. The stories of his blessings are too numerous for us to count, but we would not be where we are today without him. He has blessed us with incredible horses and bloodlines and we are excited about the future here at Regalus!"
